How to use
Stevia a sweetener and sugar alternative that is between 30 and 150 times sweeter than sugar. Use just ½ a teaspoon of this stevia powder to substitute for 1 cup of sugar. It is great in smoothies, hot beverages, sauces, puddings and desserts, confectionery and chocolate, baking recipes, or any time you want to add a touch of sweetness. Add a tiny pinch to balance sweet & sour dishes. To use powdered stevia in tea or coffee, it is best to make a ‘syrup’. Dissolve ½ a teaspoon of stevia in 200 mL water and gently heat on the lowest setting, stirring regularly. Let cool, before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Shake before using. It is a good idea to taste-test stevia syrup to check how sweet it is (our tastebuds all vary), before using it in beverages, raw foods and cooking recipes.
