How to use
Raw Macadamias can be enjoyed on their own as a quick snack, or combined with dried fruit and seeds to create a moreish trail mix. Added roughly chopped Macadamias to muesli; smoothies; acai bowls; and oat or quinoa porridge. Activate raw nuts by soaking in water for 12 hours, before slowly dehydrating at a very low heat. Soaked nuts are great for dairy-free fresh mixed nut mylk - just drain, blend with 6 parts water (optional: add a little honey or coconut nectar &/or a pinch of Murray River pink salt), then strain through a clean cloth. Nut mylk will keep for several days, refrigerated in an airtight jar. Macadamias can also be ground for scrumptious fresh nut butter. For a little variety everyone will love - add some coconut flakes or a few cacao nibs before blending. Use Macadamias in crumbing for fish or meat and in stuffing. Sprinkle chopped nuts over salads, stir-fries and hot pots. Delicious in raw food sweet or savoury recipes; and in home-baked bread, muffins, cakes and biscuits. Great to have in the pantry, convenient Macadamias are also wonderful when entertaining, or make a lovely Australian gift.
