How to use
Chinese Five Spice is frequently used in the cooking of high fat meats such as duck, pork or goose, but is also used to cook broiled chicken dishes, mixed with bread crumbs for fried foods, in stews & roasted veggies like pumpkin & sweet potato. It can be used with sugar or salt to rim martini glasses. Hawaii use it as a condiment by gently dry roasting five spice mix with salt on a low heat then adding it to a shakers to add extra flavour to your meal. Sprinkle about half a teaspoon over 500g of vegetables, chicken or seafood while stir-frying. To season roast or grilled meats; rub on with a little salt 20 minutes before cooking.
